Sam Murray is an Irish traditional flute maker from Belfast City, Ireland. Sam Murray (born 2 September 1997) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Collingwood Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted by the Sydney Swans with their final selection and sixty-sixth overall in the 2015 rookie draft. After spending two seasons with Sydney without playing a senior AFL match, he was traded to Collingwood during the 2017 trade period. He made his debut in the thirty-four point loss to at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in the opening round of the 2018 season. In round 3, he was nominated for the 2018 AFL Rising Star award. Samuel Murray (sculptor)
Samuel Aloysius Murray (1869 – November 3, 1941) was an American sculptor, educator, and protégé of the painter Thomas Eakins. Murray and Eakins Murray, the 11th of 12 children of an Irish stone cutter and his wife, was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and educated in the city's parochial schools. In September 1886, at age 17, he entered the seven-month-old Art Students' League of Philadelphia, where he studied under Eakins. He soon became a favored student, then Eakins's assistant, and was listed as an instructor in 1892. The two artists shared a studio at 1330 Chestnut Street from 1892 to about 1900, sometimes painting and sculpting from the same model. The pair spent a great deal of time together: working side by side, bicycling around Philadelphia, attending boxing matches, fishing in Gloucester, New Jersey, and taking trips and vacations together. Samuel Murray (born June 4, 1993) is a Canadian racquetball player. He is the current Canadian Champion in Men's Singles, winning the title for a fifth time in 2023. Murray was the 2022 Pan American Champion in Men's Doubles (with Coby Iwaasa),. He became the 2nd Canadian (after Kane Waselenchuk) to win a Tier 1 or Grand Slam event on the International Racquetball Tour in January 2021, when he won the Suivant Consulting Pro-Am in Lilburn, Georgia. His career high IRT ranking is #3 at the end of the 2021. ''The Kids in the Hall: Death Comes to Town'' (or simply ''Death Comes to Town'') is an eight-episode Canadian mini-series that aired on CBC Television on Tuesdays between January 12 and March 16, 2010. The show takes place in a fictional Ontario town called Shuckton where their mayor has been murdered.
